Chicago Civil War Show & Sale

Attended the Midwest Soarring PowWow at the Dupage County Fair grounds. Had the honor of taking a picture with Chief Joseph, hanging out with my Bestie and supporting this organization courtesy of Target.

This is a fun, easily navigable and engaging LEGO con. I enjoyed the quality and creativity of the MOCs on display, especially those presented through the Windy City Lego Users Group. There were excellent vendors in the house selling a wide range of discontinued kits including some rare gems, and other vendors selling custom kits (often very high quality). Everyone from ages 4 to 74 seemed to be having a great time.

This is a fun place to take the kids when they have the animals in the fair. The food is your typical carnival food like ice cream and burgers and funnel cake. You can probably walk through the entire fair in a few hours. Good amount of parking east of the courthouse.

The Great Midwestern Train Show is awesome and keeps us coming back. The people working it are friendly and helpful.

Visited the dinosaur drive thru. It was great but takes a while to get in and get to the display area. Make sure your kids have patience. It could be a while before you hit the rest area. The display was average but couple of dinosaurs were really good. I wonder if visiting post Sunset is really pretty with the colorful lights. Definitely a one time visit! Check out the photos
