Community Rules

GunExpos.com is a community for responsible gun owners, collectors, hunters, and firearms enthusiasts. These rules ensure a safe, informative, and welcoming environment for all members.

1. Respect All Members

Treat every member with respect. Disagreements are fine; personal attacks, harassment, threats, doxxing, and discriminatory language are not. This includes content targeting individuals based on race, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability.

2. Follow All Laws

All discussions, transactions, and content must comply with federal, state, and local laws. Do not promote, solicit, or facilitate illegal activity of any kind. This includes but is not limited to:

Illegal weapons modifications (unauthorized automatic conversions, unregistered suppressors)
Straw purchases or any scheme to circumvent legal purchase requirements
Interstate transfers that bypass required FFL involvement
Sale or solicitation of stolen goods

3. FFL Transfers Required

All firearm transactions facilitated through GunExpos must go through a licensed FFL dealer for transfer. This is federal law. Any marketplace listing involving a firearm must note the FFL transfer requirement.

4. No Misinformation

Do not present incorrect legal information as fact. Gun laws vary by state and change frequently. If you're sharing legal information, cite your source. When in doubt, direct others to our State Gun Laws section or recommend they consult a firearms attorney.

5. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Do not post unsolicited commercial content, multi-level marketing, or repetitive self-promotional material. Verified businesses (dealers, promoters, instructors) may post relevant content in appropriate categories with their verified badge.

6. Content Standards

Stay on topic. Post in the appropriate category. Off-topic content may be moved or removed.
No graphic violence. Hunting photos are welcome in the Hunting category. Gratuitous violence or gore is not permitted anywhere.
No content involving minors and weapons. Do not post images of unsupervised minors handling firearms.
No hate speech. Content promoting hatred against any group is prohibited.
Image uploads must be your own. Do not upload copyrighted material without permission.

7. Marketplace Rules

The marketplace category has additional requirements:

Trust Level 3 or higher required to post
Account must be at least 30 days old with 50+ community posts
All firearm listings must note "FFL transfer required"
NFA items must note "Tax stamp required"
No direct sales of firearms through the platform — GunExpos facilitates connections, not transactions
Compliance agreement must be accepted before first marketplace post

8. Moderation

Content may be removed by moderators without prior notice if it violates these rules. Users who repeatedly violate rules will receive strikes, which may result in temporary suspension or permanent ban.

Warning — First minor violation
Strike — Repeated or serious violation (3 strikes = 7-day suspension)
Suspension — Temporary loss of posting privileges
Ban — Permanent removal from the community

All moderation actions can be appealed within 7 days. Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator than the one who took the original action.

9. Privacy

Do not share other members' personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers) without their explicit consent. Respect privacy settings. Do not screenshot private messages for public posting.

10. Reporting

Use the "Report" button on any post, comment, or review that violates these rules. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. False or malicious reports are themselves a violation of community rules.

These rules are enforced at the discretion of GunExpos moderators and administrators. We reserve the right to update these rules at any time. Continued use of the community constitutes acceptance of the current rules.
