Took a advanced CCW class — worth every penny
Just finished a 3-day low-light shooting course with my range. Cost $322 plus ammo.
Everyone should take at least one class.
Have you taken formal training? What was your best class?

YES! Training is everything. I see too many people at IDPA matches who've never taken formal instruction and it shows. My favorite was a women-only defensive pistol course - game changer for my confidence and technique. The instructor really focused on stuff that works for smaller hands and frames. Worth every penny, especially the low-light stuff since that's when we're most vulnerable.
Dude, totally agree on formal training. I've been carrying daily for 8 years and still take at least 2 classes per year. Low-light is huge - most defensive situations happen in poor lighting conditions. My best class was probably a 2-day force-on-force with simunitions. Really opened my eyes to how things go sideways fast. $322 is nothing compared to what you learn... and what it could save you.
Anyone else run into this? I thought I was the only one.
