Range report — first time shooting steel
Hit the range last weekend with my S&W M&P Shield Plus. Ran some Bill drills. Put about 206 rounds through it.
Still flinching a little. What did you work on this week?

Love seeing more range reports! Steel is so much more fun than paper. I worked on my draw this week - been focusing on getting a consistent grip every time. The flinching will work itself out with more trigger time, promise!
Nice work on the Bill drills! Those are great for speed and accuracy. For flinching try some slow precision work mixed in - maybe some dot torture drills at 7 yards. The Shield Plus is a sweet shooter once you get comfortable with it.
Steel is addictive once you start hearing those pings! For the flinching, try some ball and dummy drills - mix dummy rounds in with live ones randomly. You'll catch yourself flinching on the dummies real quick. 206 rounds is good trigger time though.
Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Ruger LCP MAX has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
Following this thread. Interested to see what others think.
Facts. I switched to the same thing about 2 months ago and it was a game changer.
