Indoor vs outdoor range — pros and cons
I shoot at both but indoor is more convenient. The indoor near me is always packed.
What type of range do you use and why?

Welcome to the addiction lol. Your wallet will never recover.
Good looking out for sharing this deal. Just ordered one.
Outdoor all the way when I can swing it. Yeah it's less convenient but you get real world conditions - wind, lighting changes, different positions. Plus most indoor ranges around here won't let you practice drawing from holster which is kinda important for actual self defense training imo.
22 years LE and now running an indoor range... both have their place tbh. Indoor is great for precision work, consistent conditions, weather doesn't matter. Outdoor gives you more realistic scenarios and usually better ventilation. That crowding issue you mentioned is real - we're packed every evening and weekends. Try going mid-morning weekdays if you can swing it.
