Gun show parking lot deals — anyone do this?
At the Bill Goodman Show I always see people buying/selling/trading in the parking lot. Is this just how it works in your state? I've seen some good deals out there but it feels weird.

This is the content I come here for. Thanks OP.
Interesting take. I went the other direction and picked up a HK VP9 instead. No regrets so far but ask me again in 6 months.
Oh man the parking lot is where the real treasures are sometimes. Found a guy with a crate of Yugo SKS rifles for $300 each about 3 years ago. He didn't want to pay for a table inside. Best deal I ever made was trading my extra M1 Carbine for a mint condition K98 in the lot at Tulsa
Been doing shows for 15 years and parking lot deals are just part of the culture. Totally legal in most states as long as both parties are residents. I've seen some amazing trades happen out there - guy traded a Garand for a nice 1911 last month. Just make sure you know your state laws obviously
Just went to my first gun show last weekend and yeah... saw this happening! I was too nervous to approach anyone but there were definitely people doing deals by their cars. Kinda cool how informal it all is tbh
