Reloading .300 BLK — cost per round breakdown
Just did the math on my .300 BLK loads: - Brass: free (range pickup) - Primer: $0.05 - Powder: $0.03 - Bullet: $0.12
Total: roughly $0.25/rd. Factory is $11.99/box.
Takes a while to recoup the press cost

I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
Damn, makes me want to get into .300 BLK! I'm still working through my first 500 rounds on my Lee Classic Cast... taking forever but kinda therapeutic lol. What bullets you using for $0.12? That seems like a good price.
Good breakdown! Your powder cost seems a bit low though - what powder you running? I'm getting about $0.04-0.05 for H110 or Lil'Gun. But yeah, even at $0.26/rd you're saving serious money vs factory. I probably save $400+ a year just on my .300 BLK alone. Press pays for itself pretty quick when you're shooting volume.
