Just started reloading — first impressions
Got a Lyman Crusher and all the basics. Loaded my first 43 rounds of 10mm last weekend. Actually easier than I thought.
Any tips for a beginner? Using IMR powder and CCI primers.

Welcome to the club brother! 10mm is a beast - you picked a good one. IMR powders are solid, I use Blue Dot and 2400 for my 10mm loads. Get yourself a good scale and don't rush it. Start conservative with the charges and work up. Out here in West TX we reload everything we shoot - it's the only way to keep costs down and stay proficient. You'll be hooked in no time.
Nice choice on the Crusher! I just got mine set up last month too. 10mm is a great cartridge to start with - forgiving and you'll save good money vs factory ammo. What bullets are you using? I've been loading some 180gr XTPs and they're shooting great. Take your time with each step, double check your powder charges, and keep good notes. Welcome to the addiction lol
I'd love to see some photos if you get a chance to post them.
Can you share more details on your setup? I'm trying to decide between a few options right now.
This thread is gold. Saving for reference.
Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Sig P365X has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
LOL I felt the same way. It gets better after a few weeks trust me.
