Brass prep — my process
For precision rifle loads I anneal, sort by weight, neck turn. For plinking I don't bother sorting.
How much brass prep do you do? Does it really make a difference at 200 yds?

I keep it simple - resize, trim if needed, check primer pockets. Life's too busy for sorting every piece of brass when I'm just loading practice rounds for my carry gun. If I was doing competition or long range that'd be different but for defensive practice at 25 yards? Basic prep works fine.
For my precision stuff I do the full treatment - anneal every 3rd firing, weight sort within .5 grains, measure case lengths. But honestly at 200 yards you're probably not seeing much difference from basic prep. Save the fancy stuff for 600+ yard work. I spend most nights doing the boring prep work while watching Netflix lol.
My wife would kill me if I bought another one but this is tempting lol
This is the content I come here for. Thanks OP.
Anyone else run into this? I thought I was the only one.
This thread is gold. Saving for reference.
