6.5 Creedmoor load development — share your recipe
Working up a load for 6.5 Creedmoor in my AR-15. Currently testing H4350 behind Berger VLD bullets. Getting about 1 MOA groups at 100.
Anyone have a proven recipe for 6.5 Creedmoor?

Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Beretta 92X has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
Interesting take. I went the other direction and picked up a 1911 Government instead. No regrets so far but ask me again in 6 months.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
My two cents — don't overthink it. Just get what feels right in your hand and train with it.
Been there done that. Lesson learned the hard way for me too.
Just started reloading myself so take this with a grain of salt... but I've been reading that H4350 is solid for 6.5 CM. What grain weight on those Bergers? I'm still figuring out my RCBS single stage but 1 MOA sounds pretty good to me lol.
H4350 is money for 6.5 CM, been running it for years. Try 41.5gr behind a 140gr ELD-M if you can find them. That combo shoots lights out in my Aero Precision build. Start lower obviously and work up. What's your barrel length? That'll affect your velocity nodes.
Working on some 6.5 loads right now actually... 2am is prime reloading time haha. Been having good luck with 42gr H4350 under 143 ELD-X but that's in a bolt gun. AR gas system might prefer lighter loads. You chronographing those groups? Sometimes 1 MOA with good ES/SD beats .5 MOA with wild velocity spread.
