Water filtration — Berkey vs Sawyer
Just bought a Mountain House for water filtration. Still researching.
For a family of 4, what's your water plan? I'm calculating about 1 gallons per person per day. That's a LOT of stored water.

I've got both actually - Berkey for home use, Sawyer for bug out bags. Water's more important than ammo tbh... you can last weeks without food but only days without water. Don't forget water purification tablets as backup to the filters.
Sawyer's solid bang for the buck. Got mine for $20 at Walmart. For storage I hit up the local grocery store for their water jugs when they go on sale. Not fancy but 1000 gallons stored in the garage for under $200. Berkey's nice but that's a lot of coin upfront.
Up here in Montana I've got a well so water's not the main concern, but I keep a Sawyer mini in my hunting pack just in case. For long term storage look into those 55 gallon drums - rotate them every 6 months. 1 gallon per person is minimum... I'd plan for more if you can swing it.
I'd love to see some photos if you get a chance to post them.
Dude same. I spent way too long researching before I just pulled the trigger and bought one.
