Vehicle BOB vs hiking BOB — same bag
I keep a full BOB in the car. The vehicle bag has more comfort items because weight doesn't matter as much.
Do you differentiate between vehicle and foot BOB? Or one bag for everything?

Two different animals IMO. My truck bag has a full cooking setup, extra clothes, sleeping bag rated for whatever season. The hiking bag is ultralight focused - tarp instead of tent, minimal gear. Up in the Smokies you gotta be able to move fast if weather turns. But honestly... most folks never use either one lol. Just make sure whatever you pack, you've actually used it.
Vehicle bag definitely gets more gear. I keep defensive items staged better in the truck - extra mags, backup weapon, trauma kit. Walking bag is more about getting home safely without drawing attention. Different threat profiles need different gear loadouts.
I run three different bags tbh. Vehicle, home cache, and get-home-bag for work. Vehicle one has my HAM radio gear, extra water filtration, solar panel setup. The walking bag is basically just enough to get me back to the homestead - 25 mile max range. Weight matters when you're carrying it but redundancy matters more when you're not.
Honestly I think most people overthink BOBs but... yeah I keep different setups. Vehicle bag has more weight since I'm not humping it 20 miles. Extra batteries, camp chair, bigger med kit. Walking bag is stripped down - just basics to get me 72 hours. FWIW the vehicle one has saved me more times than I expected, mostly from winter breakdowns.
You should check out the CZ P-01 too. Similar price point and I think the trigger is better.
I'm in the same boat. Let me know what you end up going with.
