Bug out location — do you have one
Be honest — do you actually have a bug out location? Heading to national forest.
My concern is it being too far. How far is your BOL and is it actually stocked?

We ARE the bug out location lol. 40 acres off-grid with water source, gardens, livestock. But before we moved out here permanently I had a spot about 90 minutes away - cache buried there with basic supplies. Distance is a real concern though... if roads are jammed you're screwed.
Several spots scattered through the Smokies that I know like the back of my hand. Not 'stocked' per se but I know where water is, good shelter spots, what's edible, etc. Skills matter more than gear caches imo. Can make fire and find food anywhere in these mountains.
Got a family cabin about 2 hours north - not really 'stocked' but has basics like water filtration and some canned goods. Honestly though, bugging IN makes more sense for most scenarios. Why leave your supplies and defensive position? But yeah I keep a BOB in the truck just in case.
I have one but it's more of a camping spot than some tactical retreat. 3 hours away which is probably too far if things really go south. Tbh I think most BOL plans fall apart when you factor in traffic, fuel, other people with same idea... but I keep the bag ready anyway.
Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
Great info here. Bookmarking this thread for later.
Dude same. I spent way too long researching before I just pulled the trigger and bought one.
This is the content I come here for. Thanks OP.
