BOB loadout — 72 hour kit
Here's my 72-hour bag: - Water: LifeStraw + 32oz bottle - Food: Calorie dense bars + instant coffee - Shelter: Tent hammock - Fire: 2 Bics + ferro rod - First aid: IFAK
Total weight: 15 lbs. Am I missing anything?. What's in your BOB?

Solid kit but you're missing some basics. Need light source - headlamp plus backup. Cash in small bills. Copy of ID/important docs in waterproof bag. Also consider some kind of signaling device - whistle at minimum. And honestly, 15 lbs is pretty light... might want to add some redundancy on critical items like fire and water purification.
Good start but I'd add: cordage (paracord), duct tape, basic tools (multi-tool minimum), water purification tabs as backup to the LifeStraw, and some kind of radio - even a cheap emergency radio. Also think about medications you might need and feminine hygiene if applicable. The tent hammock is interesting... does it work in all weather? I stick with a simple tarp and bivy setup.
Nice loadout but I'd swap the tent hammock for a simple tarp and wool blanket - more versatile and lighter. Add a good fixed blade knife, more cordage (550 cord), and maybe some fatwood for fire starting. The ferro rod is smart but practice with it beforehand. Also consider adding snare wire or fishing line/hooks for potential food procurement if you're really stuck for 72 hours.
LOL I felt the same way. It gets better after a few weeks trust me.
