Vortex Viper PST review — 1946 rounds later
Had the Vortex Viper PST on my AR-15 for about 10 months now. Holds zero like a champ.
Only complaint: it's heavy.
Overall solid buy. Questions welcome.

I've got the same scope on my precision AR. Weight is noticeable but like you said, it's built like a tank. Haven't had any tracking issues even after some rough handling during CERT exercises. Worth every penny for reliability alone.
Nearly 2000 rounds and still holding zero? That's what I like to hear. Weight never bothered me on a bench gun but I can see it being an issue for field work. What magnification range you running? I'm partial to the 5-25x myself for precision work.
PSTs are solid... I run one on my recce rifle. Weight is the trade-off for durability. Have you tested it much in low light? The glass clarity holds up well under NODs if you ever go that route.
Facts. I switched to the same thing about 18 months ago and it was a game changer.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the Glock 43X has been rock solid for 8 months now.
This is the content I come here for. Thanks OP.
That's a steal at that price honestly. I paid way more for mine.
