LPVO vs red dot for 3-gun
Can't decide between a 1-8x LPVO and a Holosun for my Henry .30-30. Primary use is 3-gun matches.

For 3-gun and weight concerns definitely red dot. But honestly a Henry .30-30 lever gun is going to be slow no matter what optic you put on it. The LPVO would help with precision but you'll lose time on reloads compared to a semi-auto. That said if you're set on the Henry, go with something like an Aimpoint PRO or Holosun 510C.
LPVO is gonna add weight for sure. If you're running 3-gun I'd probably go red dot personally... but a .30-30 for 3-gun? That's interesting lol. Most guys I know run AR platforms. What kind of distances are you shooting?
LOL I felt the same way. It gets better after a few weeks trust me.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
