Holosun vs Aimpoint — is the price difference worth it?
Holosun 507C vs Trijicon RMR. The Holosun is way cheaper and seems to hold zero fine.
Is the premium brand worth it or is Holosun good enough? Buy once cry once or save money?

For precision shooting I'd lean toward the established brands, but for a duty/carry optic the Holosun is probably fine. The glass quality and electronics in the RMR are definitely superior but you're paying for that. Depends what you're using it for really.
I run both brands and the RMR is noticeably better built. The glass is clearer and the housing feels more robust. But... the Holosun has some nice features like the side battery and multiple reticle options. For night shooting I actually prefer some of the Holosun reticle choices. Really depends on your use case.
Having tested both extensively, the RMR edges out in durability and glass clarity but the gap isn't as big as the price difference suggests. The 507C is probably 85% of the RMR for 60% of the price. Unless you're doing serious duty use or competition, the Holosun is hard to beat on value. I've put both through some serious abuse testing and both held up fine.
I've got Holosuns on two of my Glocks and honestly they've been solid. The 507C has been on my G19 for over a year now and holds zero fine. Yeah the RMR is probably "better" but for the price difference? The Holosun does everything I need it to do. Save the money imo.
This is exactly why I joined this forum. Good discussion.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
