Suppressor host recommendations — best .300 BLK host
Got a SilencerCo Omega 36M just approved and need to pick the best host for it. Leaning toward a 1911 Government or Ruger 10/22 with a factory threaded.
What are you running your can on?

Still waiting on my first can to get approved but I've been researching like crazy. From what I've read the Omega 36M is supposed to be really good on everything from .22 to .338... but aren't you talking about three different calibers there? Kinda confusing tbh.
The Omega 36M is a great can - I sell a bunch of them. For .300 BLK I'd actually lean toward a dedicated .300 BLK upper rather than those options you mentioned. Maybe a 8-10" barrel for subs? The 10/22 is fun suppressed but totally different animal than .300 BLK. What's your main use case gonna be?
Wait, are you asking about .300 BLK hosts but then mentioning a 1911 and 10/22? Those are totally different calibers... The Omega 36M will handle all of them but you'll want different hosts for different purposes. For .300 BLK specifically, maybe look at a nice AR pistol or SBR setup?
The 36M is versatile but you're mixing calibers there. For .300 BLK get yourself a nice short barrel - 8-10" is sweet spot for subs. I've done a bunch of builds with that can and it performs great. The 10/22 is awesome suppressed too but that's .22LR obviously. What are you actually trying to suppress - rifle rounds or pistol rounds?
This is exactly why I joined this forum. Good discussion.
+1 on this. My buddy had the same issue and switching to Dark Star Gear fixed it for him.
Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Beretta 92X has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
