SBR vs pistol brace — confused
With all the legal back and forth I'm confused about where things stand. I have a 10.5 AR pistol.
Waiting for SCOTUS. What are you guys doing?

Been there done that. Lesson learned the hard way for me too.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the Springfield Hellcat has been rock solid for 10 months now.
I'd love to see some photos if you get a chance to post them.
Great info here. Bookmarking this thread for later.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
Honestly I'm just keeping my AR pistol as-is for now. The ATF flip-flopping has been exhausting and I don't want to get caught in some legal limbo. My local range doesn't care either way as long as I'm following their safety rules. IDPA matches have been fine with braces too.
As an SOT I've been telling customers to hold off on any new SBR forms until SCOTUS rules. The Cargill decision gives me some hope but who knows with this court. If you already have the pistol brace setup, just leave it. The enforcement memo is still in effect so you're probably fine. But honestly... if you really want an SBR just file the form. $200 isn't that much in the grand scheme and you'll have it forever once approved.
