Form 1 SBR — tips
Thinking about Form 1-ing my MPX to make it an SBR. Want to put a real stock on it.
Anyone done a Form 1 recently? How long and any tips?

I run a similar setup and it's been flawless. Good choice.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
Welcome to the addiction lol. Your wallet will never recover.
I'd love to see some photos if you get a chance to post them.
Been there with my AR SBR build. Form 1 took about 4 months last year. Pro tip - take good quality fingerprint cards, the electronic ones from a police station work best. And yeah, get the engraving sorted before you even think about shouldering that thing as a stock. ATF doesn't mess around with that stuff.
I've been thinking about doing the same thing with my pistol brace setup. From what I've read the Form 1s are running faster than Form 4s right now - hearing 3-4 months vs 8+ for suppressors. Just make sure you get your prints and photos right the first time or they'll kick it back.
Wait, you need to engrave it? I thought you just filled out paperwork... this NFA stuff is more complicated than buying silver bars lol. Good luck with the wait times though!
Done a few Form 1s for customers this year. Current wait is running about 90-120 days, way better than the Form 4s. Big thing is getting the engraving done right after approval - has to be the right depth and location per ATF specs. I do the engraving here in the shop if you're in the area. Also double check your overall length measurements before you submit, seen guys mess that up.
