Best first can — .30 cal?
Ready to buy my first suppressor. Primarily shooting 6.5 Creedmoor out of a PSA PA-15. Torn between Rugged Obsidian 9 and YHM Turbo K.
Should I go dedicated caliber or multi-cal for first can? Don't care about price just want the best

Not my wheelhouse but I've been watching suppressor prices like I watch silver premiums... they keep going up! Whatever you buy, buy quality the first time. Same philosophy I tell my coin customers - buy once, cry once.
For your first can I'd definitely go multi-cal. Yeah the Obsidian 9 is pistol caliber but honestly for 6.5 Creedmoor you want something beefier. Look at the Dead Air Sandman S or Nomad 30 - both handle .30 cal rifle rounds no problem and you can use them on anything up to .300 WM. I've got a Sandman S on my LaRue PredatAR and it's solid. YHM Turbo K is decent but kinda loud for a first can imo.
Multi-cal all the way! I see so many people at Dallas shows trading up from their first dedicated can. Saw a guy at Market Hall last month trying to unload his 9mm can because he wanted to suppress his hunting rifle too. Save yourself the headache and get something that'll work on multiple platforms from the start.
Anyone else run into this? I thought I was the only one.
