How to store guns with kids in the house?
Got 2 kids (ages 6 and 11) and just bought my first gun. Safe storage is my #1 priority. Looking at a mechanical safe.
What do you guys use? Need quick access for HD but absolutely kid-proof.

I was in your exact situation 6 months ago! Went with a GunVault SpeedVault after tons of research. Mounts under the nightstand, opens with fingerprint or keypad. My 7-year-old can't even reach it. Cost about $180 but worth every penny for peace of mind. Also got trigger locks for everything else just in case.
Fort Knox makes solid mechanical safes - no electronics to fail. I've got the PB1 for my EDC piece. Takes about 3 seconds to open once you get the combo down pat. Bolts to the nightstand, kids can't budge it. Been using it 8 years now, still smooth as butter. Whatever you get, make sure it's got thick steel and a good mechanical lock.
