Embarrassing question — how do I load a magazine?
Ok I know this is basic but my thumbs are killing me trying to load my HK VP9 magazine. Only got 7 rounds in before I gave up.
Am I doing something wrong? The UpLULA thing on Amazon — worth it?

HK mags are notoriously stiff when new. UpLULA is a game changer though - I use mine for everything from 9mm to .45. Your thumbs will thank you. Also try leaving the mags loaded for a while to break in the springs a bit.
Sell tons of UpLULAs at shows - they're probably the most popular accessory I carry. Everyone who tries one ends up buying one. HK mags are tough but they'll break in. In the meantime, that loader will save your thumbs and make shooting way more fun.
Yeah man, UpLULA all day. I've got two of them actually. HK springs are just brutal when they're fresh. Don't feel bad about it - even experienced shooters use mag loaders. Makes range days way more enjoyable when you're not fighting with mags.
OMG yes get the UpLULA!!! I had the exact same problem when I got my first gun. My thumbs were destroyed after like 5 rounds. The UpLULA changed everything - now I can load mags all day. Totally worth the $30 or whatever it costs.
Great info here. Bookmarking this thread for later.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the Beretta 92X has been rock solid for 5 months now.
