Best first handgun under $399?
Looking to buy my first handgun. Budget is $399. Mainly for range fun. Average hands.
The LGS recommended a Walther PDP but there are so many options. What would you pick?

I was in the same boat last year - single mom looking for my first gun. Ended up with a Glock 19 for $450 (little over your budget but worth it). Super reliable and parts everywhere. The PDP is nice but might be harder to find holsters and stuff. Have you held both? That's what sold me on the Glock.
Walther PDP is actually really nice! Better trigger than Glock IMO and fits my hands better. But at $399 you might be looking at used? I'd also check out the S&W M&P 2.0 - got mine for $380 and love it. Whatever you pick, make sure it fits your hands well. That's more important than brand names.
