Constitutional carry — does it replace permits
With more states passing constitutional carry, what about reciprocity?. I live in TX which just passed it.
Seems like a good thing but freedom is freedom

Yeah I kept my CHL even after constitutional carry passed here. The reciprocity thing is a mess - some states honor constitutional carry from other states but most don't. Plus having the permit can help with purchases and other stuff. It's only like $40 to renew so why not keep it?
Constitutional carry is great but doesn't help with reciprocity much. Most states that honor permits still want to see an actual permit from out of state visitors. TX residents can still get the LTC if they want the reciprocity benefits - might be worth it if you travel.
The permit thing is confusing for sure. I'm looking at getting my first can and was wondering if constitutional carry affects the ATF process at all... probably not but figured I'd ask.
From what I understand constitutional carry is purely a state-level thing and doesn't affect federal processes like NFA stuff. The reciprocity issue is why a lot of people keep their permits even in constitutional carry states. Each state gets to decide what they honor from other states and it's a patchwork mess honestly.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
Anyone else run into this? I thought I was the only one.
+1 on this. My buddy had the same issue and switching to Crossbreed SuperTuck fixed it for him.
Dude same. I spent way too long researching before I just pulled the trigger and bought one.
