Turkey season — what shotgun/choke combo?
Getting ready for spring turkey. Running a Winchester SXP with a Indian Creek choke and Hevi-Shot. Patterning at 40 yds looks deadly.

Remington 870 with a Primos Jellyhead .660 choke and Federal TSS 3.5" #9s. Patterns like a rifle out to 50 yards. Took a longbeard at 47 yards last spring - dropped him in his tracks. TSS is expensive as hell but you only need one shell if you do your part. That SXP should serve you well, solid gun.
Never hunted turkey but my 20ga Citori with IC/Mod chokes handles everything I throw at it. For birds that size I'd think you'd want something tighter than what I use on pheasants. That Hevi-Shot stuff is pricey but deadly - worth it for the one shot you get on a tom.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the Beretta 92X has been rock solid for 12 months now.
Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
+1 on this. My buddy had the same issue and switching to Crossbreed SuperTuck fixed it for him.
Can you share more details on your setup? I'm trying to decide between a few options right now.
Good looking out for sharing this deal. Just ordered one.
