Hog hunting — best caliber
Got into hog hunting and holy crap it's fun. Running 5.56 with thermal. We dropped 3 in one night.
What are you running for hogs?

Facts. I switched to the same thing about 5 months ago and it was a game changer.
My wife would kill me if I bought another one but this is tempting lol
Don't hunt hogs myself but sounds like a blast! Most of the guys I know running thermal are using .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor for longer shots. 5.56 works great if you're getting close though.
For precision shots I'd go .243 or 6.5 Creedmoor, but sounds like you're doing close range work where 5.56 is plenty. What thermal setup are you running? Been looking at getting into that myself.
.30-06 with 180gr CoreLokts here. Hogs are tough and I want something that'll drop them fast. Been thinking about getting into thermal hunting though - sounds like a riot. Where are you hunting? PA doesn't have many hogs unfortunately.
Love hearing about successful hog hunting! They're such a problem in Texas. Running .300 Blackout suppressed when I get out there. Perfect for night hunting and the subs are super quiet with the can.
