Caliber debate: 10mm for hogs
I know this is beaten to death but I'm torn. Buddy swears by .357 Mag but I've always shot 10mm. For hogs in thick brush does it really matter?
Convince me — or not. Just want honest opinions.

Been hunting PA woods for 20 years and honestly? Both will drop a hog dead if you do your part. 10mm gives you a bit more oomph which is nice for insurance. But I've seen plenty of hogs taken with .357 Mag too. What gun are you more comfortable with?
Up here in AK I run 10mm for backup bear protection and it's proven itself. For hogs in brush I'd want the extra juice that 10mm provides... you might not get a perfect shot angle in thick cover. That said, .357 Mag has been dropping game for decades. Can't go wrong with either really.
For thick brush work on hogs, honestly either will do the job if you put the bullet where it needs to go. I'd lean toward the 10mm just for the extra power margin - hogs are tough. But shot placement beats caliber every time. What matters more is can you shoot it accurately under pressure?
Facts. I switched to the same thing about 3 months ago and it was a game changer.
Good looking out for sharing this deal. Just ordered one.
