Weapon light for HD — Olight recommendations
Need a light for my Canik TP9 Elite that lives on the nightstand. Looking at Streamlight TLR-1. Don't want to break the bank but also don't want it to fail when I need it.
What are you running on your HD gun?

I've got the TLR-1 HL on my Glock 19 and love it. Super bright and the controls are easy even when you're stressed. Haven't had any issues with it in about 8 months of nightly dry fire practice. For the Canik it should mount up fine - just make sure you get the right mounting hardware.
TLR-1 HL is gtg, I've beaten the hell out of mine and it keeps working. 1000 lumens is plenty for indoor work and the switches are intuitive. Had one on my duty weapon overseas and never had a failure. For HD you want something that'll work when you need it most, and Streamlight delivers. Just practice with it so the controls become muscle memory.
Don't have a Canik but run a TLR-7A on my HD Glock. Streamlight makes solid stuff - been using their flashlights for years. The TLR-1 is proven and won't let you down. Avoid the cheap Chinese lights... when silver was at $50/oz I learned not to cheap out on important gear lol.
Interesting take. I went the other direction and picked up a Kimber Micro 9 instead. No regrets so far but ask me again in 6 months.

+1 on this. My buddy had the same issue and switching to PHLster Enigma fixed it for him.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
I run a similar setup and it's been flawless. Good choice.
