Weapon light for HD — Olight recommendations
Need a light for my Stoeger M3000 that lives on the nightstand. Looking at Surefire X300. Don't want to break the bank but also don't want it to fail when I need it.
What are you running on your HD gun?

X300 is gtg but pricey. I run TLR-7A on my bedside AR and it's been through hell in the desert heat. $120ish and bombproof so far. For a shotgun though you might want more lumens... maybe look at the TLR-1 HL like Amanda mentioned.
I've got a Streamlight TLR-1 HL on my Glock 19 and it's been solid so far. Cost about $130 which was way better than the Surefire pricing. Single mom budget doesn't allow for $300+ lights unfortunately but this one seems bright enough to light up my hallway. Haven't had to use it for real yet thankfully!
The X300U is what I recommend to my students who want the best. Yes it's $250+ but when your life depends on it working, that's not the place to save money imo. That said, Streamlight makes solid lights for less - just avoid the cheap Amazon stuff. Make sure whatever you get has been tested with your shotgun's recoil.
Great info here. Bookmarking this thread for later.
How long have you had yours? Any reliability issues?
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the FN 509 has been rock solid for 6 months now.
Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
