Weapon light for HD — Olight recommendations
Need a light for my Winchester SXP that lives on the nightstand. Looking at Surefire X300. Don't want to break the bank but also don't want it to fail when I need it.
What are you running on your HD gun?

Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
Good looking out for sharing this deal. Just ordered one.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
Dude same. I spent way too long researching before I just pulled the trigger and bought one.
I've got a Streamlight TLR-1 HL on my P365XL that sits bedside. 1000 lumens and rock solid reliable. For a shotgun though you might want something with more throw... the X300 is solid but pricey. Have you looked at the Streamlight TLR-1s? About half the cost of the Surefire and just as reliable imo.
X300 is what we ran on our duty weapons for years - never had one fail. Worth every penny when your life depends on it. That said, for HD on a shotgun sitting on the nightstand, you don't need all the features of a duty light. TLR-1 or even a TLR-7 would work fine and save you $100+. Just make sure whatever you get has good activation - you don't want to fumble with switches in the dark.
