Door reinforcement — first line of defense
Before we even talk about guns — has everyone reinforced their doors? I put a security bar on every exterior door. Took 58 minutes per door and cost less than a box of ammo.
Hardening your home is step one. Guns are step last.

Smart move. I've got the Door Devil reinforcement kit on my front door and sliding patio door. Wife thought I was being paranoid until our neighbor got his door kicked in last month. Now she wants me to do the garage door too lol.
This is exactly what I needed to hear! Been so focused on what gun to buy that I haven't even thought about the basics. How hard was it to install the security bars? I'm not super handy but willing to learn... my ex used to handle all that stuff.
100% agree. Too many people think a gun is gonna save them when their front door can be kicked in by a 12 year old. I've got door armor, reinforced strike plates, and 3" screws in all the hinges. Had a guy try to test my setup during a home invasion review - door didn't budge. Your perimeter security is your first and most important layer.
My wife would kill me if I bought another one but this is tempting lol
My two cents — don't overthink it. Just get what feels right in your hand and train with it.
