Cerakote — is it worth it
Want to cerakote my Walther PDP. Thinking OD green. How much should I pay?.
Local shop quoted $207 for a upper and lower.

$207 seems reasonable for a full slide and frame job. I had my Aero upper done in burnt bronze last year for about $180. Make sure they're using actual Cerakote brand coating, not some knockoff. OD green is a solid choice - hides wear well and looks good. Just remember you'll need to detail strip everything first.
Can't help with the cerakote but that's a nice gun you got there. Been thinking about picking up a PDP myself... seeing any good deals at local shows? Sometimes the gun guys at coin shows have decent prices on modern stuff.
Cerakote is definitely worth it imo. Had my Glock 19 done in FDE and it's held up great through thousands of rounds. $207 for slide and frame is about market rate. The PDP is a great gun btw - carried one in Afghanistan and it never let me down. OD green will look sick on it.
Wrong forum buddy but that Walther is gonna look sharp in OD green. Price sounds about right from what I hear... my LGS quoted similar for my 1911. Now back to stacking silver lol
Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
