Bergara B-14 build — first time, need advice
Building my first PCC from scratch. Got my PSA lower and now picking parts. Budget is $1000 total.
Where should I spend the most? BCG seems like the consensus but curious what you all think.

Wait... you said Bergara B-14 but then mentioned PSA lower and PCC? B-14 is a bolt action rifle. If you're doing an AR build, then yeah BCG is important but don't cheap out on the barrel either. What exactly are you building here?
Assuming you meant AR build... with a $1000 budget I'd go PSA complete upper and lower, then upgrade trigger later. BCG is definitely where you want quality - Toolcraft or better. Don't blow your budget on fancy rails and grips, that stuff doesn't affect function.
Yeah I'm confused too - B-14 is a hunting rifle, not a PCC. But if you're doing an AR build, spend your money on barrel and BCG first. Everything else you can upgrade later. PSA makes decent stuff for the money. What caliber are you planning?
Anyone else run into this? I thought I was the only one.
I run a similar setup and it's been flawless. Good choice.
How long have you had yours? Any reliability issues?
Interesting take. I went the other direction and picked up a Canik TP9 Elite instead. No regrets so far but ask me again in 6 months.
Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Glock 43X has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
