AR trigger upgrade — CMC thoughts?
The milspec trigger on my Winchester Model 70 is garbage. Looking at Geissele SSA-E for about $200. Mainly for competition.

You should check out the Kimber Micro 9 too. Similar price point and I think the trigger is better.

Hold up partner - Winchester Model 70 is a bolt gun, not an AR. If you're talking about the Model 70 trigger then you're looking at a completely different animal. Those can be tuned by a good gunsmith or you could look at a Timney replacement. But if it's actually an AR like you first said, then Tony's right about the LaRue being the sweet spot.
Wait... you said AR trigger but then mentioned Winchester Model 70? Those are totally different platforms lol. If it's actually an AR then yeah the Geissele SSA-E is solid for competition. Used one downrange and it's crisp. LaRue MBT-2S is the budget king at $99 and honestly 90% as good as the Geissele for half the price.
