What do you wish someone told you when you started?
If you could go back and tell beginner-you one piece of advice, what would it be? Mine: "buy once, cry once." Wasted so much money on cheap stuff before figuring out what actually works.

Don't get caught up in caliber wars and brand loyalty arguments online. 9mm vs .45, AR vs AK, Glock vs 1911... it's all just internet noise. Find what works for YOU and your situation. I wasted years switching platforms trying to find the "perfect" setup when I should've just picked something reliable and learned to use it well.
Training matters more than gear. I see so many new folks blow their budget on the fanciest rifle and optic, then never learn to shoot it properly. Take a class, practice regularly, learn the fundamentals. The equipment is just tools - you're the weapon system. Also... ammo is expensive but shooting is a perishable skill. Budget for range time and training just like you budget for new guns.
Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
