Gun show prices are crazy right now
Went to the C&E Gun Show a couple weeks ago and prices were insane. Glock 19 going for $123 over MSRP. Ammo wasn't much better. Is it like this everywhere or just my area?

Yeah the pricing is nuts right now. I went to a local show last month and 9mm was going for $18/box when I can get it online for $12-13. Seems like gun shows are banking on impulse buyers who don't shop around. That said, sometimes you can still negotiate with individual sellers, especially late Sunday afternoon.
Gun show prices have always been hit or miss but lately it's mostly miss. I remember when shows were for finding deals and rare stuff. Now half the tables are selling polymer 80s and overpriced ammo. Still worth going for the atmosphere and to see what's out there, but do your homework on pricing first.
Gun shows aren't what they used to be, that's for sure. Back in the day you could find real deals and interesting stuff. Now it's mostly overpriced common guns and jerky vendors lol. I still go for the old surplus and collector pieces but the modern stuff is usually cheaper online or at your local shop.
Gun show prices have definitely gotten out of hand lately. $123 over MSRP for a Glock 19 is ridiculous - you can get them at most LGS for closer to MSRP if you're patient. I tell new shooters to shop around and not get caught up in the gun show hype. Sometimes you find deals but mostly it's overpriced these days.
This thread is gold. Saving for reference.
Good looking out for sharing this deal. Just ordered one.
Interesting take. I went the other direction and picked up a 1911 Government instead. No regrets so far but ask me again in 6 months.
This is the content I come here for. Thanks OP.
