Gun show prices are crazy right now
Went to the C&E Gun Show yesterday and prices were insane. Springfield Hellcat going for $184 over MSRP. Ammo wasn't much better. Is it like this everywhere or just my area?

Same here in Ohio. Went to the Medina show two weeks ago and left empty handed. Guy wanted $45 for a brick of .22lr that I can get online for $32 shipped. Gun show prices used to be competitive but now it's just convenience tax. Only deals I found were on reloading components and even those weren't great.
Yeah prices are nuts everywhere. I was at a show last month looking for silver and even the ammo vendors were asking crazy money. $184 over MSRP is robbery tbh. Might be better to just order online at this point...
Unfortunately this is the new normal post-2020. Shows used to be where you went for deals but now they're mostly browsing and handling guns before you buy online. I tell new shooters to use shows for education - talk to vendors, handle different models, then shop around online. The $184 markup you saw is crazy but not uncommon anymore.
You should check out the Glock 43X too. Similar price point and I think the trigger is better.
Thanks for sharing. Been lurking for a while and this finally made me want to comment.
I had the opposite experience honestly. But everyone's different I guess.
