Gun show etiquette — any unwritten rules?

Shows are awesome! I usually make a list beforehand of what I'm looking for so I don't get distracted by all the cool stuff. Bring a folding cart if you can - your back will thank you after carrying stuff around for hours. And yeah definitely bring your own gun to trade, just make sure you follow whatever the local requirements are for transfers.

Been to more gun shows than I can count over the years. Few basic rules: handle everything like it's loaded even if the action is zip-tied open, don't try to negotiate prices like you're at a flea market (most dealers have fair prices already), and yeah you can absolutely bring stuff to trade - just make sure you know your local laws about private transfers. Oh and bring cash, lots of places don't take cards.

One thing I learned the hard way - if you see a good deal on .22 ammo, buy it! Those bulk packs disappear fast at shows. Also don't be afraid to ask questions about stuff you're looking at. Most dealers are pretty knowledgeable and happy to talk. Just don't handle merchandise if you're not seriously interested in buying.

Gun shows are great man, you'll have a blast. Definitely bring something to trade if you've got it - that's half the fun. Just remember prices tend to be higher than online but you get to handle stuff before buying. And don't feel pressured to buy anything your first time, just walk around and get a feel for it. The jerky stands usually have decent food too lol.
