That P365X for $249 was a steal! I'm watching for deals on powder and primers more than guns right now. Varget and H4350 if I can find them under $40/lb. Maybe a deal on a Dillon 550C if one pops up.
From the vendor side, BF is when we move inventory that's been sitting. Look for older model scopes, holsters, and accessories. The Leupold VX-3HD you mentioned should see decent discounts - probably 15-20% off MSRP. Guns themselves don't get huge markdowns usually.
BF is hit or miss for guns but great for ammo deals. I scored 1000rds of Federal 9mm for $189 last year at Bass Pro. This year I'm hunting for .22lr bricks under $35 and maybe some defensive hollowpoints if the price is right. That Canik is solid btw - shoots way above its price point.

Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the FN 509 has been rock solid for 10 months now.
