.30-06 prices — where are they headed?
.380 ACP seems to be finally dropping lately. I'm paying about $14.99/box when I can find it. Time to stock up?.
What are you paying in your area?

Hit the Mesquite show last weekend and saw .380 for $13.50/box of Federal... bought 10 boxes lol. Market Street Pawn in Garland had some Winchester white box for $12.99 but that was last Tuesday. DFW prices are finally getting decent again. Still not 2019 prices but way better than the crazy times.
Yeah prices are definitely softening up. At shows I'm seeing .380 FMJ moving at $12-16 depending on brand. The defensive stuff is still pricey but practice ammo is getting reasonable again. Been doing this 15 years and the cycles always repeat - panic buying, then oversupply, then normalization. We're in that middle phase now imo.
I think you meant .30-06 in your title but talked about .380 ACP in the body? Either way, both have been coming down slowly. .380 was crazy expensive for a while there - $25+ per box was nuts. $15 isn't bad if it's decent stuff like Federal or Winchester. I tell new shooters to buy what they can afford to practice with, but don't go crazy hoarding.
Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Sig P365X has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the S&W M&P 2.0 has been rock solid for 18 months now.
This thread is gold. Saving for reference.
