IDPA vs USPSA — help me choose
Never shot a match before. There's an USPSA club near me. Which is more fun?. I have a Glock 19 and basic gear.

Both are great but different flavors. USPSA is more gamey - movement, speed, open divisions with race guns. IDPA tries to be more "real world" with concealment and cover. With a G19 you can shoot both. I'd say hit up that USPSA club since it's close - nothing beats getting out there and slinging lead. The people will help you figure out what gear you need.
I love IDPA! The scenarios feel more practical and the people are super welcoming to new shooters, especially women. Your Glock 19 is perfect for ESP division. Don't worry about gear - just bring what you have and learn. The community will help you figure out what you need as you go. Both sports will definitely improve your skills!
Solid post. I've been thinking about the same thing lately. My Sig P365 has been my go-to but I'm always looking at other options.
Can you share more details on your setup? I'm trying to decide between a few options right now.
My two cents — don't overthink it. Just get what feels right in your hand and train with it.
Appreciate the honest review. Most people just hype everything up.
