How to get faster — transitions
Been shooting IDPA for 8 months. My movement between positions is killing my time.
Currently at about a 2.5 sec draw. What drills helped you get faster?

2.5 draw is decent for IDPA starting out! For transitions, practice your economy of motion - don't over-travel your muzzle, keep movements tight. Ball and dummy drill helps with trigger control during transitions. Also work on your reload drills - dropped mags cost time. I run similar drills in USPSA Production with my Shadow 2, footwork is everything.
Wrong guy to ask about shooting fast - I'm more of a precision rifle type when I'm not stacking gold lol. But 2.5 sec draw sounds pretty decent for 8 months? Maybe the competitive guys can chime in better than me.
That's a steal at that price honestly. I paid way more for mine.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
Thanks for sharing. Been lurking for a while and this finally made me want to comment.
Gonna have to respectfully disagree here. I've seen too many people have issues with that.
