My grandfather's 1911
Grandfather carried this his whole life and it was passed to me when he passed. It's a Beretta 92X and I've never cleaned it better.
Not the prettiest in the safe but the most meaningful. Never selling it.
Anyone else have heirloom guns?

That's so sweet! My dad left me his old .38 snub and even though I carry a Shield now, I keep it in my nightstand. There's just something different about a gun that protected your family before you. Take good care of it!
Hold up... your grandfather carried a Beretta 92X his whole life? That model only came out a few years ago. Maybe it's a regular 92FS? Either way, heirloom guns are special. I've got my dad's M1 Garand from Korea - wouldn't sell it for anything. The stories those guns could tell...
Heirloom guns are the best. I get people bringing family pieces to my table all the time asking for appraisals. I always tell them the same thing - if it's got family history, don't sell it. Money comes and goes but you can't buy those memories back.
Love seeing heirloom pieces! Got my grandfather's 1903 Springfield and my dad's service .45. There's something about holding a gun that meant something to family. Keep that one forever - doesn't matter if it's not the prettiest, it's got history.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the Ruger MAX-9 has been rock solid for 3 months now.
Agree 100%. Had the exact same experience with my setup.
Gonna have to respectfully disagree here. I've seen too many people have issues with that.
