Finally got my grail gun: S&W M&P Shield Plus
Been wanting a S&W M&P Shield Plus for forever and finally did it. Paid $799 — fair price. Already 200 rds through it. Sometimes the wait makes it sweeter.

My two cents — don't overthink it. Just get what feels right in your hand and train with it.
My wife would kill me if I bought another one but this is tempting lol
You should check out the Glock 19 too. Similar price point and I think the trigger is better.

Good choice on the Shield Plus. S&W knows what they're doing, even if I prefer the older stuff. That's about what they're running at my LGS too. 200 rounds already? You're doing it right - too many people buy guns and never shoot 'em.
Congrats on the new gun! Modern S&W stuff is well made. Price sounds about right for today's market unfortunately. Everything's gone up since COVID. At least you're actually shooting it - half the guys I know buy guns and they sit in the safe.
Nice pickup! Not my usual wheelhouse but S&W makes solid guns. $799 is retail territory but hey, sometimes you gotta pay to play. How's it shoot compared to other modern stuff you've tried?
$799 seems high for a Shield Plus but if you're happy that's what matters. I picked one up NIB for $425 last year but never shot it... maybe I should take it to the range sometime lol. How's the trigger on yours?
