Found a American Silver Eagle at a estate sale — grade opinions?
Picked up this American Silver Eagle last weekend for $203. The dealer said it's about a G-4 but I think it might be overgraded.
What do you guys think? Worth getting it slabbed?

Not much of a coin guy but I dabble in silver when I can. $203 seems pretty steep unless it's something special. I usually just stick to generic rounds and bars for stacking. But hey, if you like the coin and can afford it, why not? Silver is silver.
Hard to tell from a description but if you paid $203 and spot is around $30, you definitely paid a premium. ASEs usually run $35-40 over spot for common dates. If it's really beat up (G-4), might not be worth slabbing unless it's a key date. What year is it? Post a pic if you can.
