Found a 90% junk silver at a estate sale — grade opinions?
Picked up this 90% junk silver yesterday for $350. The dealer said it's about a AU-50 but I think it might be worth sending to PCGS.
What do you guys think? Worth getting it slabbed?

Honestly unless they're key dates I'd just keep them as junk silver. That's what I do with my stack - easier to sell when silver prices move and you don't have to worry about damaging a slab. But hey, if you think you got something special go for it!
Not really my wheelhouse but I picked up some junk silver a few years back when I was diversifying from just brass and lead haha. What Frank said makes sense - probably not worth the grading costs unless you hit something really special.
Need to see pics man! AU-50 junk silver for $350... what's the face value we talking? If it's actually AU condition might be worth slabbing depending on dates and mint marks. But honestly most junk silver isn't worth the grading fees unless you got something special. What years and denominations?
Frank's right - need more details. If you're talking Walking Liberty halves or Mercury dimes in true AU, could be worth it. But regular junk silver quarters? Probably not. PCGS fees are like $35 plus shipping these days. Got burned on that myself with some Morgans I thought were better than they were lol.
Thanks for sharing. Been lurking for a while and this finally made me want to comment.
Following this thread. Interested to see what others think.
I run a similar setup and it's been flawless. Good choice.
Not sure I agree but I respect the opinion. For me the Ruger LCP MAX has been rock solid for 10 months now.
