Found a 1oz silver round at a gun show — grade opinions?
Picked up this 1oz silver round Sunday for $117. The dealer said it's about a MS-67 but I think it might be overgraded.
What do you guys think? Worth getting it slabbed?

Rick's right on the price... that's steep even for a nice round. What mint is it from? Some of the limited mintage stuff from Perth or RCM can carry premiums but $117 is getting into numismatic territory. Post a pic if you can - curious to see what justified that price tag.
$117 for a generic 1oz round? You got taken unless that's something special. Generic rounds are going for $28-30 over spot right now. MS-67 grade on a bullion round doesn't really add premium - collectors don't care about condition on modern silver rounds like they do coins. I'd pass on slabbing it... you'd spend more on grading fees than any premium you might get.
Ouch on that price. I stick to generics from my LCS at $2-3 over spot for prepping purposes. Pretty rounds are nice but when SHTF silver is silver. Save the extra money and buy more ounces instead of paying for grades on bullion.
Was this at the Philly show last weekend? Saw a dealer there with some high-premium rounds trying to push them as "investment grade." If it's just a generic buffalo or eagle round, you way overpaid friend. Gun show silver dealers sometimes prey on folks who don't know spot prices.
