Best coin books for beginners?
Just getting into numismatics and want to learn. Red Book worth it?. I'm mostly interested in world coins.
Also — PCGS or NGC? Does it matter?

Not really my area of expertise tbh - I'm more about putting holes in elk than collecting shiny objects haha. But my buddy who's into coins swears by that Red Book thing. Says it's like the bible for coin values or something. Might be worth picking up if you're serious about it.
Hey! I just started getting into this stuff too. From what I've learned so far, the Red Book is definitely worth getting - it's like $15 and has tons of info on values and varieties. As for PCGS vs NGC, both are legit but I've heard PCGS tends to get slightly higher premiums when you go to sell. That said, for world coins you might want to look at other services too since those two focus mostly on US stuff.
You should check out the S&W M&P 2.0 too. Similar price point and I think the trigger is better.
