Best coin books for beginners?
Just getting into numismatics and want to learn. Any good YouTube channels?. I'm mostly interested in world coins.
Also — PCGS or NGC? Does it matter?

LOL I felt the same way. It gets better after a few weeks trust me.
Not a coin expert but I do stack some silver for SHTF prep. Rick knows his stuff so listen to him lol. Just wanted to say - if you're looking at precious metals as part of your collection, focus on recognizable stuff like American Eagles or Maple Leafs. Easier to trade if things go sideways.
For beginners I always recommend starting with the Red Book (Guide Book of United States Coins) even if you're into world coins - gives you the fundamentals. For world stuff, pick up Krause's Standard Catalog series... warning though, those books ain't cheap but they're worth it. PCGS vs NGC doesn't matter much for learning, both are solid. I'd focus more on learning to grade raw coins first before you start buying slabbed stuff. YouTube... honestly most of the channels are hit or miss but CoinHELPu has some decent basics.
